Responsibility
- Lead the mechanical engineering design and execution for data center projects, ensuring alignment with technical and operational requirements.
- Oversee HVAC system coordination, including design, installation, and maintenance, to optimize energy efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions.
- Conduct technical reviews, risk assessments, and feasibility studies to ensure project viability and compliance with industry standards (e.g., ASHRAE, Uptime Institute).
- Manage site operations, including troubleshooting mechanical issues, ensuring safety protocols, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and implement best practices for mechanical systems, including cooling, ventilation, and fire suppression, to enhance data center performance.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and contractors, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery of mechanical engineering deliverables.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; a Masterâs degree or professional certification (e.g., PE, LEED) is a plus.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3 years in data center or critical facility environments.
- Proven expertise in HVAC design, cooling systems, and mechanical infrastructure for large-scale data centers.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards, including ASHRAE, NFPA, and Uptime Institute Tier classifications.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or other engineering design software; proficiency in BIM is highly desirable.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on innovation and sustainability.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with fluency in English (written and verbal).
