Responsibility
- Design, analyze, and optimize ACMV (Air Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation) systems for commercial, residential, and industrial projects, ensuring energy efficiency and compliance with local and international standards.
- Develop and implement fire protection systems, including sprinklers, suppression systems, and smoke control, adhering to NFPA, FM, and local regulations.
- Conduct HVAC load calculations, ductwork design, and system sizing using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or Carrier HAP).
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and contractors to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly into building designs.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and BOQs for tender submissions and project execution.
- Oversee site inspections, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems to ensure performance, safety, and compliance.
- Provide cost estimates, feasibility studies, and value engineering recommendations to optimize project budgets.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies in mechanical engineering, such as smart HVAC controls and sustainable refrigerants, and propose innovations for projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PE, LEED) is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in ACMV system design and fire protection engineering, preferably in Southeast Asia or tropical climates.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit MEP) and simulation tools (e.g., EnergyPlus, CFD for airflow modeling).
- Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IMC, BS, or Eurocodes) and local Indonesian regulations.
- Proven track record in project management, from concept to commissioning, including coordination with stakeholders and contractors.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical system issues on-site.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali, Indonesia and adapt to a fast-paced, multicultural work environment.
