Responsibility
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems for automated vision inspection equipment, ensuring precision, durability, and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, and optical engineers) to integrate mechanical designs with vision systems and automation frameworks.
- Create detailed 3D models, technical drawings, and specifications using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Fusion 360).
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and stress simulations to validate design integrity under operational loads.
- Prototype, test, and refine mechanical systems, iterating based on performance data and feedback from field applications.
- Select and source materials, components, and vendors to optimize cost, quality, and lead times.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, CE, UL) and client-specific requirements for safety and reliability.
- Provide technical support for manufacturing, assembly, and deployment phases, troubleshooting mechanical issues as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; professional certification (e.g., P.E.) is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design, with a focus on precision machinery, automation, or vision systems.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor) and simulation software (ANSYS, MATLAB).
- Strong understanding of materials science, manufacturing processes (CNC machining, injection molding, sheet metal), and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Experience with optomechanical design (lenses, cameras, lighting systems) is highly advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical challenges.
- Fluency in English; ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to stakeholders.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget in a fast-paced environment.
