Responsibility
- Design and develop mechanical systems and components for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, software, and process engineers) to integrate mechanical designs into full-system solutions.
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to validate design performance and reliability.
- Create and maintain detailed technical drawings, BOMs, and documentation using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or NX).
- Prototype, test, and refine mechanical designs through iterative development and failure analysis.
- Ensure designs meet safety, regulatory, and quality standards (e.g., ISO, CE, SEMATECH).
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and scalability in high-volume production.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in semiconductor equipment and mechanical engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design, with at least 2 years in the semiconductor or precision engineering industry.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, NX, or similar) and simulation tools (ANSYS, COMSOL).
- Strong knowledge of materials science, tolerancing, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Experience with semiconductor equipment (e.g., wafer handling, lithography, etching, or deposition systems) is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively in a multicultural environment.
