Responsibility
- Design and develop mechanical components and systems for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with electrical, software, and process engineering teams to integrate mechanical designs into comprehensive system solutions.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and design reviews to optimize performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo) to create detailed 3D models, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Perform finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations to validate design integrity and thermal management.
- Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical designs to ensure they meet functional and performance requirements.
- Identify and implement cost-effective design improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce production costs.
- Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in semiconductor engineering and mechanical design to drive innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in semiconductor engineering are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, with at least 2 years in semiconductor equipment or precision engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo) and simulation software (ANSYS, COMSOL, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of materials science, tolerancing, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Experience with DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical challenges.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with semiconductor fabrication processes and cleanroom environments is highly desirable.
