Responsibility
- Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and assemblies using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor).
- Conduct feasibility studies and prototype testing to validate design concepts and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and material efficiency.
- Perform stress analysis, thermal analysis, and tolerance stack-up calculations to ensure product reliability and durability.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including engineering drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and specifications.
- Identify and implement design improvements to enhance product performance, reduce waste, and streamline production processes.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies, materials, and industry trends to drive continuous innovation.
- Support root cause analysis (RCA) and troubleshooting for mechanical failures or performance issues in existing products.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sector.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent) and simulation tools (ANSYS, FEA).
- Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and international engineering standards (ISO, ASME).
- Experience with DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems and version control tools.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-engineering stakeholders.
