Responsibility
- Design, develop, and optimize laser manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, precision, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with R&D and production teams to integrate advanced laser technologies into existing workflows.
- Conduct process validation, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure consistent product quality and compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, AS9100).
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma or similar methodologies to reduce waste and enhance productivity.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation for laser-based manufacturing operations.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and production staff on laser safety, operation, and maintenance best practices.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for process optimization.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in laser technology and recommend innovative solutions to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 3 years specializing in laser-based processes (e.g., cutting, welding, marking, or additive manufacturing).
- Proven expertise in laser system calibration, programming (e.g., CAD/CAM, CNC), and process optimization.
- Strong knowledge of quality control systems (e.g., GD&T, SPC) and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab, or Python).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and adapt to evolving technological demands.
