Responsibility
- Develop and maintain predictive cost models for manufacturing processes, products, and supply chain operations.
- Conduct should-cost simulations to benchmark internal costs against industry standards and identify optimization opportunities.
- Perform supply-market analytics to assess raw material trends, supplier pricing, and economic factors impacting production costs.
- Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and finance teams to implement strategic cost management initiatives.
- Design and present cost-reduction strategies with clear ROI projections to senior leadership.
- Automate cost modeling workflows using Python, SQL, or other data tools to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Monitor KPIs related to cost variance, savings realization, and model accuracy, providing regular reports to stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies (e.g., AI/ML) and methodologies to enhance cost modeling precision and predictive capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cost modeling, manufacturing finance, or supply chain analytics.
- Proven expertise in should-cost analysis, activity-based costing (ABC), or total cost of ownership (TCO) models.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau) and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, BOM (Bill of Materials), and production economics.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Experience working in medical devices, biotech, or high-tech manufacturing is a plus.
- Certifications in CSCP, CPIM, or Lean Six Sigma are highly desirable.
