Responsibility
- Lead the development and implementation of global category management strategies for key spend areas within Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics.
- Drive strategic sourcing initiatives, including RFP/RFQ processes, supplier selection, and contract negotiations to optimize costs and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business objectives, ensuring scalability and sustainability.
- Oversee supplier relationship management (SRM), fostering long-term partnerships and performance improvements.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities through spend analysis, market intelligence, and benchmarking.
- Lead cross-functional teams to streamline procurement processes, leveraging digital tools and automation where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in procurement, category management, or strategic sourcing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale procurement projects within Manufacturing, Transport, or Logistics industries.
- Strong expertise in contract negotiation, supplier development, and cost optimization techniques.
- Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAP Ariba, Coupa, Jaggaer) and advanced Excel/analytics tools.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills with the ability to influence at senior levels.
- Certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or CIPS are highly desirable.
- Willingness to travel as needed and work in a fast-paced, international environment.
