Responsibility
- Lead and manage a global Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) team, ensuring high-quality risk assessments and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement financial crime prevention strategies, including AML, CTF, and sanctions compliance programs.
- Oversee the investigation of complex financial crime cases, providing expert guidance and escalation where necessary.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate financial crime risk management into business processes and decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement in detection methodologies, leveraging data analytics and emerging technologies.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial crime risks to regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct training and awareness programs to enhance the financial crime prevention capabilities of teams across the organization.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of financial crime controls, recommending enhancements as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CAMS, CFA, ACAMS) is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in financial crime prevention, compliance, or risk management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Deep understanding of AML, CTF, sanctions, and fraud prevention frameworks, with experience in a global context.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced, regulatory-driven environment.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and trends to inform risk management strategies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership.
- Experience with financial crime detection tools and technologies, including transaction monitoring systems and data analytics platforms.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
