Responsibility
- Threat Monitoring & Analysis: Continuously monitor global cyber threat landscapes, focusing on financial sector risks, APT groups, and dark web activities.
- Intelligence Reporting: Produce high-quality, actionable threat intelligence reports for executive and operational teams, including IOCs (Indicators of Compromise) and TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, Procedures).
- Risk Assessment: Evaluate the potential impact of identified threats on Macquarieâs assets, systems, and clients, prioritizing mitigation efforts.
- Collaborative Defense: Partner with IT, Fraud, and Compliance teams to integrate threat intelligence into security controls, incident response, and vulnerability management.
- Emerging Trend Analysis: Research and forecast cyber threats specific to fintech, digital banking, and capital markets, anticipating attacker motivations.
- Tool Optimization: Leverage and enhance threat intelligence platforms (e.g., MISP, ThreatConnect) and SIEM tools to automate detection and response.
- Stakeholder Briefings: Present complex threat data in clear, business-relevant terms to non-technical leadership and regional teams.
- Regulatory Alignment: Ensure threat intelligence practices comply with global financial regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, APRA).
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years in cyber threat intelligence, SOC analysis, or cybersecurity within financial services, consulting, or government sectors.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in threat intelligence tools (e.g., Recorded Future, CrowdStrike, FireEye), SIEM (Splunk, QRadar), and malware analysis.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong ability to correlate disparate data points (e.g., log files, OSINT, dark web chatter) to identify patterns and predict threats.
- Financial Acumen: Understanding of banking operations, payment systems, or capital markets to contextualize cyber risks.
- Certifications: Preferred: CISSP, CISM, GCTI, or OSCP. Relevant degrees in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related fields.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills in English to articulate technical risks to diverse audiences.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work in global, cross-functional teams under tight deadlines.
- Adaptability: Willingness to stay ahead of zero-day threats and rapidly evolving attack vectors.
