Responsibility
- Lead the identification, evaluation, and pursuit of new business opportunities in the energy sector, with a focus on renewable and conventional power projects.
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to expand Meranti Power’s market presence in Indonesia and beyond.
- Manage end-to-end project lifecycle, from proposal development and contract negotiation to execution and delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Collaborate with technical, legal, and financial teams to structure deals, mitigate risks, and optimize project feasibility.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, investors, and industry partners.
- Oversee financial modeling, ROI analysis, and commercial viability assessments for potential projects.
- Drive cross-functional alignment between sales, engineering, and operations to ensure seamless project handover and execution.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in business development, project management, or commercial roles within the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sectors.
- Proven track record of successfully closing high-value deals (USD 5M+) and managing complex projects from inception to completion.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in P&L management, budgeting, and financial modeling for energy projects.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
- Familiarity with energy market regulations, permitting processes, and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) contracts.
- Experience working in Southeast Asia, particularly Indonesia, is highly advantageous.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Indonesian (Bahasa) is a strong plus.
