Responsibility
- Design, develop, and optimize large-scale NLP models for search ranking, query understanding, and semantic retrieval.
- Research and implement multimodal AI techniques (text, image, video) to improve search relevance and user experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ML models into production search systems at scale.
- Fine-tune and deploy transformer-based models (e.g., BERT, T5, or proprietary LLMs) for real-time search applications.
- Optimize model performance for latency, accuracy, and computational efficiency in high-traffic environments.
- Conduct A/B testing and data-driven experiments to measure and improve search metrics (e.g., CTR, dwell time, conversion).
- Stay ahead of industry trends in NLP, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and multimodal AI to drive innovation.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical documentation and best practices.
Qualifications
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, AI, or a related field with a focus on NLP, ML, or data science.
- 5+ years of experience in machine learning, with at least 3 years specializing in NLP or search systems.
- Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, or TensorFlow and experience with distributed training frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs), embeddings, or retrieval systems (e.g., Elasticsearch, FAISS).
- Strong background in deep learning, transformer architectures, and optimization techniques for production environments.
- Experience with big data tools (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Proven track record of publishing research or deploying ML models in large-scale applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
