Responsibility
- Lead the coordination of M&E interfaces with Civil & Structural (C&S) and architectural teams to ensure seamless integration of systems across all project phases.
- Develop and implement interface management plans, including clash detection, resolution strategies, and risk mitigation for M&E, structural, and architectural elements.
- Facilitate technical workshops and design reviews with stakeholders to align on specifications, standards, and compliance requirements (e.g., local building codes, international best practices).
- Oversee the approval process for M&E drawings, shop drawings, and as-built documentation, ensuring timely submission and adherence to project timelines.
- Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and local authorities to resolve interface conflicts, optimize system performance, and minimize project delays.
- Monitor and report on interface-related risks, dependencies, and progress to project leadership, proposing corrective actions as needed.
- Champion sustainable and energy-efficient M&E solutions, aligning with green building certifications (e.g., LEED, Green Mark) where applicable.
- Mentor junior engineers and interface coordinators, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related field (Masterâs degree or professional certification is a plus).
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in M&E coordination, interface management, or construction project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing M&E interfaces for large-scale construction projects (e.g., commercial, hospitality, infrastructure) in Southeast Asia or similar markets.
- Strong technical expertise in M&E systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, BMS) and their integration with structural and architectural designs.
- Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD) and clash detection tools for interface coordination.
- Familiarity with Indonesian building codes, regulations, and permitting processes (experience in Bali is highly desirable).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions at all levels.
- PMP, LEED AP, or other relevant certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
