As a Senior Linux/Unix Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust Linux-based systems. Your expertise in RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu will be instrumental in ensuring high availability, security, and performance of critical infrastructure. Responsibility
- Design, deploy, and maintain Linux-based infrastructure solutions using RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of Linux servers and services.
- Automate infrastructure tasks using scripting (Bash, Python) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet).
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive measures to prevent downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Linux systems with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and best practices.
- Lead initiatives to optimize infrastructure efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Linux/Unix system administration, with expertise in RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python) and automation tools (Ansible, Puppet).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- In-depth knowledge of networking, security, and performance tuning in Linux environments.
- Certifications such as RHCE, RHCSA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams.
