Responsibility
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, agreements, and legal documents to ensure compliance with local and international laws.
- Provide expert legal advice on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and regulatory matters.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, including labor, environmental, and trade laws.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings, arbitrations, and mediations, coordinating with external counsel as needed.
- Develop and implement internal policies, procedures, and training programs to mitigate legal risks and promote ethical business conduct.
- Conduct legal due diligence for business transactions, investments, and partnerships to identify potential risks and liabilities.
- Liaise with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry associations to maintain strong compliance and advocacy.
- Support the resolution of disputes, including litigation management, settlement negotiations, and alternative dispute resolution.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Law (LL.B) from a reputable university; a Masterâs degree (LL.M) or additional certifications in corporate law is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in corporate legal roles, preferably in a multinational corporation or top-tier law firm.
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesian corporate law, commercial law, and regulatory frameworks, with familiarity in international trade law.
- Proven experience in contract drafting, negotiation, and legal risk assessment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in clear, actionable terms.
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia; additional languages are an advantage.
- High ethical standards, discretion, and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Proficiency in legal research tools, document management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
