Responsibility
- Oversee the daily operation and performance of kiln systems to ensure optimal production efficiency and product quality.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of kiln equipment.
- Monitor and analyze kiln performance data, identifying opportunities for process improvements and energy efficiency enhancements.
- Collaborate with production and R&D teams to optimize firing cycles, temperature profiles, and material formulations for superior ceramic products.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to kiln operations, including temperature inconsistencies, mechanical failures, and process deviations.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards in all kiln operations.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technical staff on kiln operation best practices and safety protocols.
- Stay updated on industry advancements in kiln technology and recommend upgrades or innovations to enhance production capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Ceramic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in kiln operations, preferably in the ceramics or refractory manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of kiln design, thermal dynamics, and firing processes for ceramic materials.
- Proficiency in using PLC systems, SCADA, and data analytics tools to monitor and optimize kiln performance.
- Experience with energy-efficient kiln technologies and sustainability practices in manufacturing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian is a plus.
