Responsibility
- Design, configure, and deploy LAN/WAN, VPN, and wireless networks to meet business and technical requirements.
- Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues, including hardware/software failures, connectivity problems, and security breaches.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate network solutions with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and on-premise systems.
- Conduct regular network audits and security assessments to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Document network architectures, configurations, and procedures for internal knowledge sharing.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to junior team members (for Senior roles).
- Stay updated with emerging networking trends, tools, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in network engineering (2+ years for Junior, 5+ years for Senior roles).
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or Huawei networking devices (routers, switches, firewalls).
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, BGP, and VPN technologies.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark).
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or JNCIA are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
