Responsibility
- Lead the implementation, configuration, and customization of Vessel Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS) to meet maritime operational requirements.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for PMS applications, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with maritime engineers and IT teams to integrate PMS with existing vessel management systems and IoT devices.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including user guides, system manuals, and training materials for vessel crews and stakeholders.
- Conduct regular system audits and performance reviews to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISM, SOLAS).
- Train and mentor junior team members and end-users on PMS functionalities and best practices.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in maritime technology and recommend innovative solutions to enhance PMS capabilities.
- Liaise with vendors and third-party service providers to resolve technical issues and implement system upgrades.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in implementing and supporting Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS) or similar enterprise software in the maritime industry.
- Proficiency in PMS software (e.g., AMOS, ShipNet, SpecTec, or equivalent) and familiarity with maritime regulations (ISM, SOLAS, Class requirements).
- Strong technical skills in database management, SQL, and system integration (e.g., REST APIs, XML, JSON).
- Experience with ERP systems, IoT devices, and predictive maintenance tools is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to troubleshooting complex technical issues.
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Certifications in PMS software, ITIL, or maritime compliance (e.g., ISM Auditor) are advantageous.
