Responsibility
- Design, implement, and manage enterprise-level infrastructure solutions, including servers, storage, and networking systems, to ensure high availability and performance.
- Lead the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) to support business operations.
- Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive measures to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Develop and enforce IT infrastructure policies, standards, and best practices to ensure security, compliance, and scalability.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement and maintain robust security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and data encryption.
- Manage and mentor junior IT staff, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure initiatives with business goals and support digital transformation projects.
- Document infrastructure architectures, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
- Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking.
- Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Experience with cybersecurity best practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and data encryption.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation and infrastructure management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Certifications such as CCNA, MCSE, VMware VCP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or CompTIA Security+ are a plus.
