Responsibility
- Design, develop, and implement instrumentation and control systems for industrial processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Lead the calibration, testing, and maintenance of sensors, transmitters, PLCs, and SCADA systems to guarantee optimal performance.
- Collaborate with process engineers to integrate automation solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve product quality.
- Conduct root cause analysis for instrumentation failures and develop corrective action plans to prevent recurrence.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of new instrumentation systems, including vendor coordination and performance validation.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including P&IDs, loop diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on best practices in instrumentation and control systems.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies in industrial automation and recommend upgrades to maintain competitive advantage.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in instrumentation engineering, preferably in the food & beverage, manufacturing, or chemical industries.
- Proven expertise in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley), SCADA systems, and DCS platforms.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards (IEC, ISA, ISO) and regulatory compliance (e.g., OSHA, ATEx).
- Experience with calibration tools, HART communicators, and loop testing equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other engineering design software.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Indonesian (Bahasa) is advantageous but not required.
