Responsibility
- Design, develop, and implement instrumentation and control systems for water and wastewater treatment facilities
- Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems for automated plant operations
- Develop and maintain control logic for pumps, valves, sensors, and other process equipment
- Conduct system integration, testing, and commissioning of new and upgraded control systems
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for control system malfunctions
- Create and maintain technical documentation including P&IDs, control narratives, and system manuals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including process engineers, electrical engineers, and operations staff
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements for water treatment systems
- Provide technical support and training to plant operators and maintenance personnel
- Stay current with emerging technologies in industrial automation and water treatment processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering, with at least 3 years in water/wastewater treatment
- Proficient in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar) and SCADA systems (Wonderware, Ignition, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, etc.)
- Experience with HMI development and process visualization tools
- Familiarity with water treatment processes and equipment (pumps, valves, sensors, analyzers)
- Understanding of electrical power systems and motor control centers
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with project management and commissioning of control systems
