Responsibility
- Convert requisitions into accurate purchase orders (POs) while ensuring compliance with company policies and supplier agreements.
- Validate pricing, terms, and conditions to secure cost-effective and high-quality procurement solutions.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services, resolving any discrepancies or delays proactively.
- Manage supplier performance, conduct evaluations, and negotiate contracts to optimize value and mitigate risks.
- Resolve procurement-related issues, including invoice discrepancies, delivery delays, and quality concerns, with a solutions-oriented approach.
- Oversee the returns process, ensuring proper documentation, credit recovery, and supplier accountability.
- Maintain and update procurement databases, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility for stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Finance, Operations, Legal) to align procurement activities with organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in indirect purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing or logistics.
- Proven track record of negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost-saving initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, assess market trends, and make data-driven procurement decisions.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with suppliers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy, compliance, and process improvement.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
