Responsibility
- Oversee end-to-end import/export documentation, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements.
- Lead air freight operations, coordinating with carriers, forwarders, and internal teams to optimize shipment schedules.
- Monitor and resolve shipment discrepancies, delays, or compliance issues proactively.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in logistics workflows.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, tracking, and delivery statuses using ERP or logistics software.
- Liaise with clients, vendors, and government agencies to facilitate smooth customs clearance and delivery.
- Train and mentor junior staff on best practices in import/export procedures and regulatory compliance.
- Generate reports and analytics to track KPIs, identify bottlenecks, and propose data-driven solutions.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in import/export operations, air freight, or logistics management.
- In-depth knowledge of international trade laws, customs regulations, and Incoterms.
- Proven ability to manage high-volume shipments with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Proficiency in logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or industry-specific tools) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot shipment or documentation issues.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for stakeholder coordination.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal); additional languages are a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
