Responsibility
- Oversee and manage import/export compliance operations in accordance with Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW) and other relevant trade regulations.
- Develop and implement trade compliance strategies to ensure adherence to local (Indonesian) and international customs laws.
- Classify products using HS codes and determine applicable duties, taxes, and trade preferences (e.g., Free Trade Agreements).
- Liaise with customs authorities, freight forwarders, and logistics providers to facilitate smooth clearance of shipments.
- Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare and review commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with procurement, finance, and legal teams to align trade activities with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on changes in trade laws, tariffs, and customs procedures and communicate impacts to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CSCP, CITP, or customs brokerage license) are a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in import/export compliance, customs clearance, or trade facilitation, preferably in a manufacturing or logistics environment.
- In-depth knowledge of Indonesian customs regulations, LMW (Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse) requirements, and global trade compliance frameworks.
- Proven expertise in HS code classification, duty optimization, and Free Trade Agreement (FTA) utilization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex trade regulations and apply them practically.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact with customs officials, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and customs management software.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal); knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is advantageous.
