Responsibility
- Design, deploy, and maintain NGINX proxy servers to support test automation platform connectivity and load balancing.
- Configure and manage pass-through proxies, reverse proxies, and SSL/TLS terminations for secure and efficient data flow.
- Optimize infrastructure performance, ensuring low latency, high availability, and scalability for global users.
- Automate deployment, monitoring, and maintenance tasks using CI/CD pipelines, Ansible, or Terraform.
- Collaborate with DevOps and QA teams to integrate infrastructure with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress).
- Monitor system health, analyze logs, and proactively resolve incidents using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
- Implement security best practices, including firewall rules, DDoS protection, and access controls.
- Document infrastructure designs, configurations, and operational procedures for team reference.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience as an ICT Infrastructure Engineer, with a focus on NGINX, proxy servers, or web infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix systems administration and scripting (Bash, Python, or Perl).
- Proficiency in network protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and load balancing techniques.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong knowledge of security principles, including SSL/TLS, authentication, and encryption.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI) and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
