job description

Join Mase E&C Pte. Ltd., a dynamic and forward-thinking engineering and construction firm, as our Senior HR Executive in the heart of Bali. This is not just a job—it’s an opportunity to shape the future of our company culture, drive strategic growth, and make a tangible impact on our people and projects every single day. With a hybrid/remote work model, you’ll enjoy the flexibility to work from stunning locations like Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, Jimbaran, Nusa Dua, Kuta, or Badung, while contributing to a global team that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence.

In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of our HR initiatives, partnering with leadership to develop and implement policies that foster a thriving workplace. Whether you’re leading talent acquisition, designing employee engagement programs, or ensuring compliance with local and international labor laws, your work will directly influence our ability to attract, retain, and develop top talent. Bali’s vibrant expat and local communities offer a unique backdrop for building a diverse and inclusive team, and you’ll have the chance to create HR strategies that reflect the island’s dynamic spirit.

At Mase E&C, we believe that people are our greatest asset. As our Senior HR Executive, you’ll play a pivotal role in cultivating a workplace where employees feel valued, motivated, and empowered to grow. If you’re passionate about HR, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to make a difference in a company that’s shaping the future of engineering and construction, we’d love to hear from you. Let’s build something extraordinary—together.

Note: This role offers hybrid/remote work options with occasional travel to our Singapore headquarters or project sites as needed.

Responsibility

  • Lead end-to-end talent acquisition processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding top talent for our engineering and construction teams in Bali and beyond.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with local labor laws (Indonesian Manpower Regulations) and international best practices.
  • Design and execute employee engagement initiatives, such as wellness programs, team-building activities, and recognition schemes, to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Partner with senior leadership to create and manage performance management systems, including goal-setting, appraisals, and career development plans.
  • Oversee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness in the local market while maintaining cost efficiency.
  • Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives to build a workforce that reflects the rich cultural diversity of Bali and our global operations.
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling, with a focus on fairness and transparency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational development, change management, and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all local and international HR regulations, including work permits, visas, and labor contracts for expatriate employees.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. A Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership role, preferably in the engineering, construction, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian labor laws (Undang-Undang Ketenagakerjaan) and experience managing HR operations in Indonesia or Southeast Asia.
  • Proven track record in talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and HR policy development.
  • Experience with HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia or other languages is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote/hybrid environment while maintaining strong collaboration with global teams.
