Responsibility
- Lead the design, development, and testing of complex electronic systems, including PCBs, embedded systems, and hardware-software integration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define hardware requirements, specifications, and architectural designs.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new hardware projects, ensuring alignment with technical and business goals.
- Oversee prototyping, debugging, and validation of hardware components to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
- Optimize hardware designs for cost-effectiveness, power efficiency, and manufacturability without compromising quality.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends in hardware engineering, and recommend innovative solutions to enhance product capabilities.
- Document technical specifications, test reports, and design changes for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in hardware design, development, and testing, with a focus on complex electronic systems.
- Proven expertise in PCB design (using tools like Altium, KiCad, or OrCAD) and embedded systems development.
- Strong knowledge of analog/digital circuit design, microcontrollers, FPGAs, and signal processing.
- Experience with hardware debugging tools (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers) and firmware development (C/C++, Python, or VHDL).
- Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ISO, IEC, UL, FCC) and compliance testing for hardware products.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex hardware issues under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams.
