Responsibility
- Lead the end-to-end hardware design process, including requirements analysis, schematic capture, PCB layout, and prototyping.
- Develop and validate embedded systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, IPC, UL).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing) to deliver integrated solutions.
- Perform signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal analysis to optimize hardware performance.
- Conduct design reviews, DFMEA, and risk assessments to mitigate potential failures.
- Support manufacturing and testing phases, troubleshooting issues and refining designs for mass production.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies (e.g., IoT, AI/ML hardware, high-speed digital design) and apply them to projects.
- Document technical specifications, test reports, and design guidelines for internal and client use.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in hardware design, with a focus on PCB design, analog/digital circuits, and embedded systems.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., Altium, Cadence, OrCAD) and simulation software (e.g., SPICE, HyperLynx).
- Strong knowledge of microcontrollers, FPGAs, and communication protocols (I2C, SPI, CAN, Ethernet).
- Experience with EMC/EMI compliance testing and certification processes (CE, FCC, RoHS).
- Familiarity with high-speed digital design (DDR, PCIe, USB) and power management circuits.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
- Strong communication and project management skills to work effectively in global teams.
