Responsibility
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation of financial statements for the group, ensuring compliance with IFRS/GAAP standards.
- Develop and maintain automated reporting tools using AWS (Amazon Web Services) and Visual Basic (VB) to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with regional finance teams to standardize accounting policies, procedures, and controls across subsidiaries.
- Prepare and present consolidated financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs) for senior management.
- Identify and implement process improvements in financial reporting, leveraging cloud-based solutions and scripting.
- Ensure timely and accurate intercompany reconciliations and elimination entries.
- Support external audits by providing documentation and explanations for consolidated financial data.
- Train and mentor junior team members on consolidation methodologies and financial reporting best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in group accounting/consolidation, preferably in a multinational environment.
- Proven expertise in AWS cloud services (e.g., QuickSight, Lambda, S3) and Visual Basic (VB) scripting for financial automation.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and consolidation accounting principles.
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-finance stakeholders.
- Experience with multi-currency reporting and intercompany transactions.
- Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced, international work environment.
