Responsibility
- Develop and implement global sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance for direct and indirect materials.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to secure the best value while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and finance, to align procurement activities with business objectives.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, supplier performance, and risk factors to mitigate supply chain disruptions.
- Lead RFQ (Request for Quotation) processes, evaluate supplier proposals, and recommend the most advantageous sourcing options.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical sourcing standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes, reduce lead times, and improve inventory management.
- Manage supplier performance metrics, conduct regular reviews, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a buyer, planner, or material scheduler role within a direct manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record in global sourcing, supplier negotiation, and contract management.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement best practices, inventory control, and demand forecasting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
