Responsibility
- Monitor and manage inventory levels at the Regional Distribution Center (RDC) to ensure optimal stock availability while minimizing excess and obsolescence.
- Develop and implement demand forecasting models using historical data, market trends, and seasonal patterns to anticipate product needs.
- Collaborate with procurement, sales, and warehouse teams to align inventory strategies with business objectives and customer demand.
- Conduct regular inventory audits, reconcile discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to maintain accuracy.
- Analyze inventory turnover ratios, carrying costs, and lead times to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
- Generate and present reports on inventory performance, demand forecasts, and KPIs to senior management for strategic decision-making.
- Utilize ERP or inventory management software to track stock movements, automate reorder points, and enhance visibility across the supply chain.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards in all inventory-related activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory control, demand planning, or supply chain operations, preferably in a distribution center or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in tracking and reporting inventory metrics.
- Knowledge of lean inventory principles, Just-in-Time (JIT), or ABC analysis is a plus.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
