Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable GIS applications using industry-leading tools such as ArcGIS, QGIS, and PostGIS.
- Integrate GIS data with enterprise systems, APIs, and databases to enable real-time spatial analysis and visualization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze spatial data needs, and deliver customized GIS solutions.
- Automate geospatial workflows using Python, JavaScript, or other scripting languages to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop interactive web maps and dashboards using technologies like Leaflet, OpenLayers, or ArcGIS Online.
- Ensure data integrity and performance optimization for large geospatial datasets.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and stakeholders on GIS best practices.
- Stay updated with emerging trends in GIS technology, geospatial analytics, and remote sensing to drive innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geographic Information Systems, Computer Science, Geography, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in GIS development, with proficiency in ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms.
- Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, or SQL, with experience in geospatial libraries (e.g., GDAL, GeoPandas).
- Experience with web mapping technologies (e.g., Leaflet, OpenLayers, Mapbox, or ArcGIS API for JavaScript).
- Familiarity with spatial databases such as PostGIS, SQL Server, or Oracle Spatial.
- Knowledge of cloud-based GIS solutions (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex spatial data into actionable insights.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, international team environment.
