Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive geriatric assessments to evaluate mobility, strength, balance, and functional limitations.
- Develop and implement personalized physiotherapy treatment plans for elderly patients with conditions such as arthritis, osteoporosis, stroke, or post-surgical recovery.
- Provide hands-on therapy, including manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, and gait training, to improve mobility and reduce pain.
- Educate patients and caregivers on fall prevention, home safety, and adaptive techniques for daily living activities.
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and occupational therapists to ensure integrated care plans.
- Monitor and document patient progress using standardized assessment tools and adjust treatments accordingly.
- Lead group therapy sessions to promote social engagement and physical activity among elderly residents.
- Stay updated on geriatric physiotherapy best practices and incorporate innovative techniques into patient care.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in geriatric or elderly care physiotherapy (preferably in clinical or rehabilitation settings).
- Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice physiotherapy in Indonesia (or willingness to obtain).
- Proven expertise in assessing and treating age-related conditions (e.g., Parkinsonâs, dementia, joint replacements).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with elderly patients and their families.
- Familiarity with assistive devices (walkers, canes, wheelchairs) and adaptive equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English (additional proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is a plus).
