Responsibility
- Lead the development and implementation of CQA (Construction Quality Assurance) plans for geosynthetic projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards (e.g., ASTM, GRI).
- Prepare and review technical reports, test results, and compliance documentation for clients and regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, contractors, and inspectors, to ensure project specifications are met.
- Conduct site inspections and material testing (remotely or on-site as needed) to verify geosynthetic installation quality.
- Provide expert guidance on geosynthetic material selection (e.g., geomembranes, geotextiles, geogrids) for landfills, roads, and containment systems.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, identifying risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and field technicians on CQA protocols and best practices.
- Stay updated on emerging geosynthetic technologies and industry trends to enhance project outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field; Masterâs degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in geosynthetic project engineering, with a focus on CQA documentation.
- Proven expertise in geosynthetic design, testing, and installation for infrastructure or environmental projects.
- Strong knowledge of international standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO, GRI) and local regulations.
- Excellent technical writing and reporting skills, with the ability to create clear, concise documentation.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio).
- Experience working with Australian or Southeast Asian clients is highly desirable.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote setting.
