Responsibility
- Develop, optimize, and maintain injection molding processes to ensure maximum efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct DOE (Design of Experiments) and statistical analysis to refine process parameters (temperature, pressure, cycle time, etc.).
- Troubleshoot and resolve molding defects (sink marks, warpage, short shots, flash) using root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with R&D and production teams to scale prototypes into high-volume manufacturing.
- Implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce waste and improve yield.
- Oversee tooling and mold maintenance, including design reviews and vendor coordination.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, FDA, or industry-specific standards for medical, automotive, or consumer products.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on best practices in injection molding.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Polymer Science (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in injection molding process engineering.
- Proficiency in molding simulation software (e.g., Moldflow, SolidWorks Plastics).
- Strong knowledge of material science (thermoplastics, elastomers, composites).
- Experience with SCADA, PLC, or IoT-based process monitoring is a plus.
- Certification in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or IATF 16949 is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Fluency in English; Indonesian language skills are a bonus.
