As a key member of our finance team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing claims-related accounting, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Responsibility

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with a focus on claims and outstanding losses.
  • Manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and local accounting standards.
  • Reconcile complex accounts, including claims payable, receivables, and reserves for outstanding losses.
  • Collaborate with underwriting and claims teams to ensure proper accounting treatment of insurance transactions.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for claims-related financial activities.
  • Prepare audit schedules and support external auditors during financial and compliance audits.
  • Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency in accounting operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in general accounting, with at least 2 years in the insurance industry.
  • Strong knowledge of claims accounting, loss reserves, and insurance regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with hybrid work models and ability to manage time effectively in a remote/in-office setting.
  • Familiarity with Indonesian accounting standards (PSAK) is advantageous.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
