Responsibility
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with a focus on claims and outstanding losses.
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and local accounting standards.
- Reconcile complex accounts, including claims payable, receivables, and reserves for outstanding losses.
- Collaborate with underwriting and claims teams to ensure proper accounting treatment of insurance transactions.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for claims-related financial activities.
- Prepare audit schedules and support external auditors during financial and compliance audits.
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency in accounting operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in general accounting, with at least 2 years in the insurance industry.
- Strong knowledge of claims accounting, loss reserves, and insurance regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience with hybrid work models and ability to manage time effectively in a remote/in-office setting.
- Familiarity with Indonesian accounting standards (PSAK) is advantageous.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
