Responsibility
- Lead and manage Australian tax compliance and advisory projects for high-profile clients, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with Big 4 accounting firm partners to develop tax strategies, risk assessments, and optimization solutions.
- Prepare and review tax returns, financial statements, and regulatory filings in compliance with Australian and international standards.
- Provide technical tax guidance to clients and internal teams on complex tax matters, including GST, corporate tax, and transfer pricing.
- Monitor legislative changes and update tax policies to ensure client strategies remain compliant and effective.
- Mentor and train junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams (audit, legal, finance) to align tax strategies with broader business objectives.
- Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CA, or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in tax advisory or compliance, preferably with exposure to Australian tax laws.
- Proven track record of managing tax engagements for multinational clients or Big 4 firms.
- Strong knowledge of Australian tax regulations, including income tax, GST, and international tax treaties.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly.
- Proficiency in tax software (e.g., MYOB, Xero, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid setup while meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) is required; additional languages are a bonus.
