Responsibility
- Develop, optimize, and maintain furnace processes for semiconductor wafer fabrication, ensuring adherence to strict quality and yield targets.
- Monitor and analyze process parameters (e.g., temperature, gas flow, pressure) to identify deviations and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and R&D teams to troubleshoot process issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for process failures and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime and defects.
- Generate and maintain detailed process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process specifications.
- Support new product introductions (NPI) by qualifying furnace processes and ensuring seamless integration into production.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on furnace operations and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards (e.g., ISO, SEMI, OSHA).
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in furnace process engineering within a semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with diffusion, oxidation, or annealing processes in semiconductor fabrication.
- Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC), DOE, and data analysis tools (e.g., JMP, Minitab, Python).
- Strong understanding of semiconductor physics, thin-film deposition, and thermal processing.
- Experience with SECS/GEM, APC, or factory automation systems is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and detail-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a focus on safety and quality.
- Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, Mandarin) are advantageous.
