Responsibility
- Prepare and review accurate financial statements, including NAV calculations, capital calls, and distributions for private equity funds
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and fund-specific accounting standards
- Reconcile cash, investment, and portfolio positions with custodians and administrators
- Manage fund expenses, allocations, and waterfall calculations in accordance with LP agreements
- Collaborate with auditors, tax advisors, and fund administrators during year-end audits and tax filings
- Monitor and report on fund performance, including IRR, MOIC, and other key metrics
- Support the implementation of new accounting systems and process improvements
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting team members
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent certification is a plus)
- 3+ years of experience in private equity fund accounting or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and private equity accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and fund accounting software (e.g., Investran, eFront, or similar)
- Experience with waterfall calculations, capital calls, and distributions
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a night shift/hybrid environment
- Fluency in English (written and verbal)
