Note: This is a fully remote position open to candidates based in Bali, Indonesia.
Responsibility
- Conduct Compliance Reviews: Perform thorough in-house compliance assessments to ensure adherence to financial regulations, internal policies, and client requirements.
- Manage NPO Sync Queue: Oversee and prioritize the Non-Performing Obligation (NPO) Sync Queue, ensuring timely resolution of exceptions and discrepancies.
- Eligibility Assessments: Evaluate one-off eligibility requests, balancing risk and business needs to make data-driven approval or denial decisions.
- Risk Analysis: Assess financial documents, credit reports, and transaction histories to identify potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Policy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine underwriting policies, improve workflows, and enhance compliance frameworks.
- Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with internal teams, clients, and third-party vendors to clarify requirements, resolve issues, and ensure smooth underwriting processes.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of underwriting decisions, compliance reviews, and exception cases for audit and reporting purposes.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to drive process efficiencies and innovation in underwriting.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in finance underwriting, credit analysis, risk assessment, or compliance within banking, fintech, or financial services.
- Educational Background: Bachelorâs degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM, or CPA) are a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret financial statements, credit reports, and risk metrics to make informed underwriting decisions.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional precision in reviewing documents, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with policies.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with underwriting software, CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, data analysis).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of financial regulations, compliance standards, and risk management frameworks (e.g., AML, KYC, Basel III).
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically, assess exceptions, and propose solutions that align with business objectives and risk tolerance.
