As a key member of our finance team, you will collaborate closely with our existing accountant to maintain seamless financial operations. Your role will involve managing fund accounting processes, preparing financial reports, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards. Responsibility
- Oversee and manage fund accounting operations for Australian clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local and international regulations.
- Prepare and review financial statements, fund performance reports, and investor communications.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor and reconcile fund transactions, including capital calls, distributions, and expense allocations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Australian financial regulations and industry best practices.
- Assist in the implementation of financial controls and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to improve fund performance and financial reporting.
- Work closely with the existing accountant to ensure seamless coordination and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in fund accounting, preferably with exposure to Australian financial markets.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, etc.).
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining high productivity and communication.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with fund administration processes and investor relations is an advantage.
