Responsibility
- Design and engineer end-to-end FTTH network architectures, including fiber optic cable routes, distribution points, and last-mile connectivity solutions.
- Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies to assess terrain, infrastructure, and technical requirements for fiber deployment.
- Develop detailed technical drawings, schematics, and BOMs (Bill of Materials) for network construction and upgrades.
- Optimize network performance by analyzing signal strength, latency, and bandwidth capacity to ensure seamless user experience.
- Collaborate with civil engineers, contractors, and local authorities to obtain permits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to deliver high-quality fiber infrastructure on schedule.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network design flaws or deployment challenges using advanced diagnostic tools.
- Stay updated on emerging FTTH technologies (e.g., GPON, XGS-PON) and industry best practices to drive innovation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in FTTH network design, fiber optic planning, or telecommunications infrastructure.
- Proficiency in fiber optic design software (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS, FiberPlanIT, or similar tools).
- Strong knowledge of GPON, EPON, and other passive optical network (PON) technologies.
- Experience with OTDR testing, splice loss calculations, and fiber characterization.
- Familiarity with Indonesian telecommunications regulations and local permitting processes.
- Excellent project management and stakeholder communication skills.
- Certifications in fiber optics (e.g., FOA CFOT, BICSI) are highly advantageous.
