Responsibility
- Oversee and manage end-to-end freight operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize logistics processes and reduce operational costs.
- Coordinate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to ensure smooth freight movement and compliance with regulations.
- Monitor and analyze freight performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
- Negotiate contracts with shipping companies, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners.
- Ensure compliance with local and international freight regulations, customs requirements, and safety standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present reports on freight operations, budget adherence, and key performance indicators to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in freight management, logistics, or supply chain operations, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale freight operations and optimizing logistics networks.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and freight documentation.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Familiarity with the Southeast Asian logistics landscape is highly advantageous.
