The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Northern Mindanao is seeking a dedicated and courageous Senior Fire Officer 1 (SFO1) to join our team of public safety professionals. Responsibility
- Lead and participate in fire suppression operations and emergency medical responses.
- Conduct regular fire safety inspections of establishments to ensure compliance with the Fire Code of the Philippines.
- Supervise junior fire personnel during operations and routine station activities.
- Coordinate with local government units and communities for disaster risk reduction and fire prevention awareness campaigns.
- Maintain operational readiness of fire equipment, apparatus, and station facilities.
- Prepare accurate incident reports, investigation documents, and administrative records.
- Train and mentor subordinates on modern firefighting techniques and life-saving procedures.
Qualifications
- Must be a Filipino citizen of good moral character.
- Possess a Bachelor's degree relevant to the job (e.g., Criminology, Engineering, or related fields).
- Must have passed the appropriate Civil Service Eligibility or Board Examination (Fire Officer Eligibility).
- Physical and mental fitness as certified by a BFP-accredited medical facility.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in firefighting or public safety operations.
- Strong knowledge of the Fire Code of the Philippines and relevant safety regulations.
- Ability to work under extreme pressure and in hazardous environments.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
