Responsibility
- Lead FEA simulations (static, dynamic, thermal, and fatigue analysis) to validate and optimize product designs for performance, safety, and cost-efficiency.
- Develop and refine 3D CAD models and mesh configurations for accurate finite element modeling.
- Collaborate with R&D, design, and manufacturing teams to translate simulation results into actionable design improvements.
- Create and maintain simulation workflows and best practices to streamline FEA processes.
- Conduct material selection analysis and recommend alternatives to enhance product durability and sustainability.
- Generate comprehensive technical reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Stay abreast of emerging FEA tools and industry trends (e.g., ANSYS, ABAQUS, SOLIDWORKS Simulation) to drive continuous improvement.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on complex simulation challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Finite Element Analysis, preferably in consumer products, automotive, or toy industries.
- Proficiency in FEA software (ANSYS, ABAQUS, NASTRAN, or SOLIDWORKS Simulation) and CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA).
- Strong understanding of material science, structural mechanics, and failure analysis.
- Experience with scripting/automation (Python, MATLAB, or VBA) for simulation workflows is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-engineers.
- Familiarity with industry standards (ASTM, ISO, or EN) for product safety and compliance.
