job description

Join GSK as a Senior Finance Analyst in the vibrant heart of Bali for a 1-year fixed-term contract. This is a unique opportunity to drive financial excellence in a global healthcare leader while enjoying the dynamic work-life balance of Indonesia’s most sought-after destinations.

In this role, you will play a pivotal part in month-end close processes, financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls, ensuring accuracy and compliance while partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver strategic insights. Your expertise will contribute directly to GSK’s mission of improving global health outcomes through data-driven financial decision-making.

Based in Bali’s thriving business hubs—whether Canggu, Ubud, Denpasar, or the coastal areas of Jimbaran and Nusa Dua—you’ll collaborate with a diverse, high-performing team in a role that blends analytical rigor with the flexibility of a tropical work environment.

GSK offers a competitive compensation package, professional growth opportunities, and the chance to make a tangible impact in a purpose-driven organization. If you’re a detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for process improvement and stakeholder collaboration, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibility

  • Lead and execute month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses to support business decision-making.
  • Perform account reconciliations (e.g., balance sheet, intercompany) and resolve discrepancies with minimal supervision.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls and financial policies to mitigate risks and ensure SOX compliance.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Operations, Commercial) to provide financial insights and support budgeting/forecasting.
  • Drive process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and implementing automation or best practices.
  • Support audits (internal/external) by providing documentation and clarifications as required.
  • Mentor junior team members and collaborate with regional finance teams to align on global standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, CFA, or ACCA certification is a plus.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, or accounting, preferably in a multinational corporation.
  • Proven expertise in month-end close, reconciliations, and financial controls (SOX experience preferred).
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities to collaborate across teams.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal); knowledge of Indonesian is beneficial but not required.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a 1-year contract commitment.
