Responsibility
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local and international standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
- Manage the full accounting cycle, including AP/AR, general ledger, reconciliations, and tax filings, while optimizing processes for efficiency.
- Collaborate with the CEO and senior leadership to develop financial forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans that support our IPO roadmap.
- Oversee cash flow management, liquidity planning, and risk assessment to ensure financial stability and growth.
- Prepare board-ready financial presentations and KPI dashboards to communicate performance trends and actionable insights.
- Drive automation and digital transformation initiatives to streamline finance operations (e.g., ERP systems, fintech integrations).
- Act as a key liaison with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Mentor junior finance team members and contribute to cross-functional projects to support business scalability.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CFA) is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior role (fintech, startup, or high-growth environment preferred).
- Proven expertise in financial reporting, tax compliance, and regulatory filings (experience with Malaysian or Indonesian regulations is advantageous).
- Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle) and fintech tools (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, blockchain integrations) is highly desirable.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations for leadership.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; ability to articulate complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
- Self-starter with a proactive mindset, capable of working independently in a remote-first environment.
