Responsibility
- Lead the research, testing, and validation of new geospatial data sources to ensure accuracy, reliability, and scalability for client projects.
- Develop and implement ad-hoc geospatial analysis products, including spatial modeling, drone imagery processing, and GIS-based solutions.
- Oversee UAV (drone) operations, including flight planning, data acquisition, and post-processing to deliver high-quality geospatial datasets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., data scientists, engineers, and project managers) to integrate geospatial insights into broader business strategies.
- Design and optimize workflows for geospatial data collection, analysis, and visualization using tools like QGIS, ArcGIS, or Python.
- Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance on geospatial best practices, UAV regulations, and data quality standards.
- Stay updated on emerging trends in geospatial technology, UAV advancements, and industry regulations to drive innovation within ACGT.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, clients, and senior leadership through reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Geomatics, GIS, Remote Sensing, Geography, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in geospatial analysis, UAV operations, or GIS development, with a focus on data accuracy and quality assurance.
- Proficient in GIS software (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS, ENVI) and programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL) for geospatial data processing.
- Hands-on experience with UAV/drone operations, including flight planning, data capture, and post-processing (e.g., Pix4D, Agisoft Metashape).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex geospatial datasets and derive actionable insights.
- Familiarity with remote sensing techniques, LiDAR data, and photogrammetry for 3D modeling and terrain analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in Southeast Asia or familiarity with regional geospatial challenges (e.g., urbanization, agriculture, disaster resilience) is a plus.
