Are you a seasoned Estimator with a deep understanding of the Australian construction market? Pear Tree is seeking a Senior Estimator to join our high-performing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering precision-driven, full-building tenders for large-scale Australian projects.
You will leverage your expertise in CostX and Revit to produce accurate cost projections, ensuring that our project bids remain competitive and profitable. Responsibility
- Prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for multi-disciplinary Australian construction projects.
- Utilize CostX and Revit software to perform detailed quantity take-offs and model-based estimating.
- Manage the full tender cycle, from initial documentation review to final bid submission.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects and engineers, to refine project costs and identify value engineering opportunities.
- Maintain a current understanding of Australian building codes, labor rates, and material cost indices.
- Provide detailed reporting to management on budget variances, risks, and procurement strategies.
- Mentor junior staff and ensure the highest standards of accuracy are maintained across all estimating deliverables.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, specifically focusing on the Australian market.
- Expert-level proficiency in CostX and BIM-based software (Revit).
- Strong understanding of Australian Standards (AS) and regulatory requirements in the construction industry.
- Exceptional numerical, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications with high precision.
- Professional certification (e.g., AIQS) is highly regarded.
